Week 6 Rankings

October 11, 2009

Another great weekend of college football. I've seen 56 different teams play live now so I've gotten a chance to make the most of watching all the upper level teams in the FBS.

So I'm blasting the AP Poll because the voters put Alabama ahead of Texas this week, but sadly I did the same thing. Amazing how things have changed, in my preseason rankings I put Alabama at 10 because I had questions about their offense, but now after what they did to Arkansas and dominating Ole Miss yesterday, it's clear that Bama is the best team in the SEC West (when I had thought preseason it would be Ole Miss). Texas, on other hand, is still possibly the best team in the nation but they just haven't shown it. They played a very sloppy 38-14 win over Colorado last night. Perhaps a big win over Oklahoma next week to get them back to #2.

Again, we had another top 5 team lose, but this time it wasn't a major upset as #1 Florida beat #4 LSU 10-3.

Georgia got ousted by Tennessee which was a shocker so they've clearly shown me their not a top 25 team anymore and then there were some close games for TCU, Oklahoma State, and Kansas that showed me a lot about them.

The AP Poll, Coaches' Poll, and Harris Poll will be posted below my rankings. But now since the pros always get it wrong, here's My Top 25
